Do You Know CPR?

Do you have CPR certification or have you been to a pet first aid class lately? We happily hosted 14 animal lovers to our store The Paw Market to get this marked off their bucket lists.

Ok well maybe not their bucket list but it was somewhere on a ‘To Do” list. Knowing how to help your pets (cats and dogs) in an emergency just makes you a better pet guardian and friend. We aren’t saying hang out at the dog park waiting for a big fight, but having the confidence of what to do when your dog chokes on the squeaker they just dissected out of the new toy? Or while playing fetch they tore a toenail? Or, or, or…  Our students learned how to use common first aid items to muzzle a dog and transport an injured animal.   First aid kits were on site for sale and they were snatched up quickly.

Thanks goes out to Pet Emergency Education for coming to Longmont to educate our clientele. We hope our attendees never have to call on the knowledge they gained today, but if they do, we know they have the tools to handle what comes their way.

If you are interested in attending a future first aid course please let us know, we are happy to host another one later in 2016.  If you already are Pet CPR certified, check your card, it is due for renewal every 2 years.

Follow the Paw Market Facebook page to be notified of other upcoming pet events.
